Sachin, Sai Baba criticised; should India banish Taslima?

Taslima Nasreen
New Delhi, Apr 25: It seems that the famous Bangladeshi origin author - Taslima Nasreen has been born to live in controversies. She has been rusticated from her own country over her controversial works. Now, her comments against India's cricket god Sachin Tendulkar and the late godman Sathya Sai Baba has enraged the Indians.

The fresh controversy raised its head in the country when India was mourning over its "great loss" with Sri Sathya Sai Baba's demise on Sunday, Apr 24.

An ardent follower of Sai Baba, Sachin Tendulkar had earlier asked the countrymen to pray for the spiritual guru's health as he on Apr 23 tweeted, "I m praying for Shri Sathya Sai Baba's quick recovery. Hope everyone will join me in praying for his return to good health."

Taslima Nasreen re-Tweeted a statement which says, "why shud somebody be sad abt his death. he was 86, shud b allowed to die. i was so disappointed with sachin praying. crazy!," published by The Times of India.

However, citing the rage among the people nation-wide, Taslima Nasreen emerged with her explanation as she mentioned in her Twitter account, "I'm protesting against TOI report.I RT ppl's diff comments. They're not mine.I also RT comments that are against me."

She also claimed, "I'm shocked to see #toi misleading ppl by publishing a news that's not true. Most people don't know what Retweet is.Doesn't #toi know it?"

Taslima Nasreen claimed, "retweets do not necesarily become the opinion of the person who retweets it," but the author should know Retweet-ing anything indeed promotes the opinion expressed by the first Tweepler. If anyone's own views is not reflected in the "Retweet", it is believed that he/she is endorsing the opinion reflected in the first tweet.

Citing all these statements, one question has been appeared - should India cancel Taslima's visa? Should India banish the controversial author to restrict her from interfering from India's internal issues like - Sachin and Sai Baba?

Viewers are welcome to share their valuable opinion and thoughts with Oneindia.

whatever she has written i agree with that.i also agree with the fact that most indians including sachin tendulkar find it hard to accept fact that the so called sai baba was cheater and nothing else;his tricks were all fake .he would have been certainly praised if would have been a magician but declaring himself as god or whatever he declared himself was an insult to god.going ahead taslima has right to espress her views and i wholeheartedly suppot her views .

When someone is staying with us, are they beggars or guests? There does not seem anything wrong with the opinion itself and even if we do not agree to a opinion we should respect and nurture the freedom of others to express theirs.
