Dharamsala, Feb 26: Having provided its secretariat and field officers with mobile phones, Himachal Pradesh government is unhappy that they prefer to keep them switched off and has now instructed them to keep the phones on even after office hours.

A senior spokesman of the state government said today that the government has taken serious note of officers keeping their mobile phones off which creates difficulty in contacting them in hours of need.

All the officers in head offices and in field should keep their mobile phones on, even after office hours and on holidays. Hence that no inconvenience is caused to the public as well as other officers and public representatives who want to reach them, he said.
