In an open letter to Chouhan, second after the fast wascalled off, Singh said though the year 2011 has come, thepromises made by the BJP before the the 2003 and the 2008Assembly elections in the state are yet to be fulfilled.
"As Chief Minister and a responsible leader of the BJP itis your duty to ensure that these promises are fulfilled andfocused on making administration committed towards thepeople''s welfare instead of staging fast which is nothing buta drama and wasting government''s money, time and labour,"he said.
Singh said following the advice by Prime MinisterManmohan Singh and state Governor Rameshwar Thakur, Chouhanmust have realised the threats of forthcoming constitutionalcrisis and therefore, he had called-off the fast even beforebeginning it and questioned the need for spending crores ofrupees on it.
He also listed 19 promises made by the BJP during theelections which he claimed were yet to be fulfilled.
Singh further said Chouhan should give a thought to asituation if like him Union Ministers also stage a fast inprotest against the misuse of central funds and its improperutilisation.
"How will the BJP and he himself act in such asituation?," he asked.
