Agra, Feb 18: The 20th Taj Mahotsav was inaugurated by the Uttar Pradesh chief secretary this evening at the Shilpa Gram here.
Kathak exponent Shweta Misra performed on the stage, while a Delhi troupe presented the Buddha Ballet in the open air auditorium.
Nearly 400 artisans from all across the country are displaying their wares at the ten-day-long art, craft, culture and cuisine event.
Woodcraft of Tamil Nadu, shawls of Kashmir, Kantha sarees of West Bengal, silk sarees of Varansi, carpets of Bhadohi, chikanwork of Lucknow, crochet work of Andhra Pradesh, cane furniture of Assam, marble craft of Agra are among the various products that would be displayed.
Earlier, Chief Secretary Atul Gupta had inaugurated a light and sound show at the Diwan-e-Aam of the Agra Fort.
