"There's lots of excitement as she continues to speak more and improve. She's in a great mood and working hard," The Telegraph quoted a family friend, as saying.
Doctors of Giffords, who is currently in the rehabilitation centre, have also called her a hard worker who puts in a lot of effort to complete her therapy every day. They, however, warned that in many cases, patients with similar injuries like her often make progress for several days before encountering a day when their muscles become weak or tired.
"It happens quite frequently. We don't even panic anymore, because that happens," the paper quoted Dr. Gerard Francisco, who heads the team of specialists treating Giffords, as saying.
Earlier, it was claimed that Giffords had been putting in efforts to learn speaking from mouthing words to lip-syncing nursery rimes like "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star".
