Ronaldo ends Real barren run

Madrid, Feb 7: Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals in Real Madrid's thumping 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad on Feb 6. The victory ensured that Real Madrid is only seven points adrift of the table leaders Barcelona in La Liga.

The Portuguese Forward who had not scored in his last four matches for Real Madrid, now has 34 goals in 35 matches in all competitions. He scored his first goal of the match in the 21st minute when he hit a powerful left-foot strike from outside the area.

The other two goals by of Real Madrid were scored by charismatic Brazilian Kaka and the club's new loan signing Emmanuel Adebayor.

Barcelona lead the tables with 61 points from 22 matches, followed by Real Madrid, who have won all 11 home games, on 54. Villarreal rounds of the top three with 45 after losing their unbeaten home record in a 1-0 defeat to Levante on Feb 5.
