California, Jan 31: One of the world's leading electronics manufacturers, Samsung, will launch the second version of its popular Android running tablet Galaxy Tab at 2011 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
According to Samsung's leaked Mobile World Congress 2011 presentation schedule, the company will launch Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and smartphone Samsung Galaxy S 2 on Feb 13. Rumor mills also confirmed the scheduled launch of the two Android running devices.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab in 2010 and managed to sell more than 2 million units in just three months. Samsung Galaxy Tab was regarded as the Apple iPad killer, which controlled the international tablet market with more than 70 percent market share.
We heard thousands of rumors about the leaked specifications of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and some blogs offered leaked videos of this new tablet. Any how, one thing we can expect, Samsung won't disappoint us with the Galaxy Tab 2 as all other giants including Apple planing to launch new tablets.
According to latest gadget market buzz, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will run on Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, which was specially designed for tablets only. Samsung may retain the screen size to 7-inch, but will have Super AMOLED Plus Display covered entirely with Gorilla Glass.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will boast a 1 Ghz NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual-Core CPU with 1 GB RAM and 64 GB storage capacity. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi b/g/n, DLNA, USB 2.0. Interestingly, Galaxy Tab 2 will have dual cameras, but this time it increased to 8 megapixel at rear and a 3 megapixel at front that supports video calling.
