K'taka bandh increases BSY's case pages

Bangalore, Jan 23: The friction between the Governor and state government in Karnataka were took to streets on Saturday, Jan 22. BJP's peaceful bandh turned ugly and worst as possible. Post the turmoil, the Governor HR Bhardwaj, gave a nod to prosecute BS Yeddyurappa. Two criminal cases were filed against Yeddyurappa on Saturday, by two advocates, before Judge C B Hipparagi of the special court.

The advocates Sirajin Basha and K.N. Balaraj said, "We can file a total of six complaints in three cases. We will file the remaining ones on Monday."

Earlier, on Dec 28, last year the advocates had written to Governor, seeking permission to start criminal proceedings against Yeddyurappa over his corruption charges.

The case will come up for hearing on Monday. Yeddyurappa has been made the main accused in both the complaints. Yeddyurappa's sons BY Raghavendra, who is a BJP member of the Lok Sabha, and BY Raghavendra are among the people against whom the complaints were filed.

The offences listed were under various IPC sections:

Including 405 (criminal breach of trust), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 415 (cheating) 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) 463, 463 (forgery) as well as section 13 i (d)and 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The complaints listed include section three and four under the Karnataka Land (Restriction on Transfer) Act, 1991 read with IPC 120(b) (punishment for criminal conspiracy).

Advocates said that the complaints have been filed under various provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Criminal Procedure Code.

Meanwhile, raising his voice against all this allegations, Yeddyurappa decided to write a letter to the PM and reports stated that he will soon meet the President regarding the issue.

Mr.Yeddyurappa deserves to be eased out of the post of CM unceremoniously, as he has neither respect for constitution or the rule of law. The quick way for that is for the court to order arrest of the CM and he can fight his way from judicial custody and that will be a very good bolster for the image of the BJP (not that it was great in any case ...)

mr yeddurappa is not intelligent chiefminister,there were many earlier cms looted karnataka more than him but without getting caught.yeddurappa cannot continue as cm now,if he respect the constitution,he has to resign and give way for some person of integrity to save the bjp in state
