Bhimsen Joshi in "critical" condition

Pune, Jan 15: Noted classical singer Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, undergoing treatment here at a hospital for breathlessness and vomiting.

Doctors at the hospital attending on the singer said on Saturday, Jan 15, that he is in a "critical condition."

The eminent singer was hospitalised last week after he complained of breathlessness and vomiting, the doctors added.

Joshi, who is 88-year-old, was honoured with the Bharat Ratna in 2008. Following a kidney failure, Johshi has been on a periodic dialysis.
