New Delhi, Nov 2: Union Heavy Industry Minister and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has blamed the Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan for Adarsh housing society scam.
Deshmukh told that Chavan, who was the former revenue minister, had sent the proposal to change the rules for Adarsh housing society to give flats for non-armed forces personnel.
"I am not responsible for the scandal. He was responsible for changing bylaws to bring in civilians into the society. I cleared it in good faith," said Deshmukh.
Mean while, Congress asked it's Maharashtra leaders not to comment publically on issues related to the Adarsh housing scam.
Congress spokesman Shakeel Ahamed told that AICC had set up an enquiry committee and any leaders who want to express their views on the issue have to say before the committee.

Media reported that Maharashtra political leaders including Chavan, Deshmukh, Narayan Rane, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Patangrao Kadam have recommended their relatives and friends for the flats in Adarsh housing society.OneIndia News
