Dimapur, Oct 26: Naga Students' Community Delhi(NSCD) on Monday, Oct 25 organised a silent protest rally in New Delhi in protest against government of India"s 'lack of political will" to settle decade"s old “Indo-Naga" problems.

According to a statement issued by the NSCD, hundreds of Nagas turned up for the rally joined by other students" bodies including Manipur Students" Association, Delhi (MSAD), Democratic Students Union (DSU) and members from various NGOs to show their solidarity towards the Nagas and their long struggling cause.

Later, a memorandum was submitted to Prime Minister, demanding political maturity and sincerity from the Centre.

The NSCD said that the peace-talk between the Government of India and the NSCN (I-M) has been vividly marred by the failure of the earlier talks even after the Nagas have proposed a model of solution in the form of “Special Federal Relationship" with India.

The Nagas students further said that the need of the hour was to fully realize a straight approach to the peace process aimed at resolving the vexed Naga political issue was to the interest of both the sides.
