Mumbai: Married man detained over rape charge

Mumbai, Oct 23: A 35-year-old married man raped a 22-year-old college student in Mumbai, Andheri police stated after taking him under custody.

The police said Rajesh Doshi, who stayed with his wife and 8-year-old son at Koldongri in Andherihad, promised to marry the girl, who stayed with her parents.

Police also informed that Doshi rented a flat in Bhayander and had physical relation with the victim.

According the victim's complaint, whenever she talked about marriage, Doshi countered it by saying that he should get a divorce from his wife first.

Finally, she lodged FIR against Doshi for rape and cheating case when she realised that the accused did not file divorce case, stated police.

'India sought only 3 suspects, not 20'
