Report: Apple iPhone 4 faces breaking-glass issue

Apple iPhone 4
San Francisco, Oct 13: After the antenna and reception problems, Apple's iPhone 4 is facing fresh controversy over it's glass. Some of the iPhone 4 users have reported about scratched and fractured glass cases.

An independent warranty provider in United States has reported that the glass on the iPhone 4 is breaking far more often than it did on the iPhone 3GS. Some of the media reported that iPhone 4 users are repeatedly complaining about the damaged screens.

A warranty firm SquareTrade has revealed in a new research report, which was published on Tuesday, Oct 12, that the screen damage complaints on iPhone 4 are 82 percent more in the first 4 months of ownership when compared with the iPhone 3GS.

The innovative giant Apple had launched iPhone 4 in Jun 2010. During the launch Apple claimed that glass on iPhone 4 was 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic, and it was the same kind used in the windshield of high-speed trains and helicopters.

Earlier in Jul 2010, some of the iPhone 4 users complained about antenna and reception problem. Users reported that signal strength of the phone was reduced when touching the lower left edge of the phone, bridging one of the two locations which separates the two antennas, resulting in dropped calls in some areas with lower signal reception.
