Mum: Railway travellers trained against terrorism

Mumbai, Oct 11: After watching several terror attacks targeted at the railways, Mumbai railway police decided to train its travellers to empower them with the techniques of fighting against it at the required moment.

Railways, on Monday, Oct 11, would give the training under the name of "Operation Savdhan" in which more than 400 people were expected to participate in the training session.

With the help of a power point presentation, police would show some of the previous terror attacks and the techniques to combat with them, so that the participants would acquire a knowledge to deal with the situation.

Mumbai Railway police official informed, "equip citizens with right knowledge and skills so that they can extend a helping hand to police to combat terror."

His statement continued, "The purpose of the drive is to use the same citizens, who are victims, as a formidable resistance against terror."
