CWG: Prodigy tabla boy gets award of Rs 10k

New Delhi, Oct 6: The young tabla, Keshav who enthralled spectators on the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2010, has been awarded with Rs 10, 000 by the minister of state for planning and Congress MP from Puducherry V Narayanasamy as token of appreciation.

"The boy is only seven years old and he performed with the poise of someone much older. In fact, even experienced performers may have found the occasion overwhelming but Keshav did India and Puducherry proud," Narayanasamy said.

He further added that he would recommend to the Puducherry government to provide all possible help for Keshav's study of music.
