BJP not part of all-party delegation's Jammu visit

BJP
Jammu, Sep 21: After Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Sushma Swaraj expressed unhappiness over holding talks with the separatist leaders, the saffron party on Tuesday, Sep 21 decided to boycott the the all-party delegation's visit to Jammu.

“We have decided to boycott the all-party meeting here in protest against the failure to invite nationalist parties," Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Shamsher Singh Manhas said.

Besides BJP, the Samajwadi Party and the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) also boycotted the delegation's visit to Jammu, where there are expected to meet 30 delegations representing political parties, social, religious, trade and other associations.

Informing that 16 organisations, including VHP, RSS, Bajrang Dal and Panun Kashmir, have not been invited for the meeting, BJP spokesman Balbir Ram said, “These parties represent the aspirations and view points of Jammu and have been deliberately kept aside."

“This is a clear discrimination with Jammu and we are not going to tolerate it," he said.

Speaking on the JKNPP's decision, chairman Bhim Singh said, “We have decided to boycott the delegation as no terms and conditions are attached. The delegation has no constitutional authority to take cognisance of the facts and situation that prevails today in J&K and particularly in the Kashmir Valley."

Samajwadi Party, which also decided to give it a miss, did not specify any reason for its protest.

"We are not meeting the delegation," State SP chief Sheikh Abdul Reham said.

If the delegation can go to Separatist Geelani's home , Murderer Yasin Malik's home sure they should have allowed nationalist Panun Kashmir to visit them. I think this is gross discrimnation and apeasement of militants.
