"If I will be the prime minister of India like that is the only job a person can do! There are many other jobs that a person can do," said Gandhi during his maiden visit here today.
"Stress should be given on fine arts studies. You can write to me or to the Prime Minister's Office with your suggestion how to strengthen fine arts studies," added Gandhi during his interaction with the students of the Visva Bharati University that was founded by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.
Forty-year-old Gandhi further said corruption is a problem everywhere, and one must find a permanent solution to it.
He also inaugurated an exhibition 'Three Chancellors' on the tenures of former Prime Ministers Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi as chancellors of the central university.
Rahul Gandhi is presently on a three-day visit of West Bengal in order to rejuvenate the state Congress ahead of next year's assembly elections.
This is his second visit to the state within a fortnight. (ANI)
