US Open: Andy Roddick ousted in 2nd round

US Open
New York, Sep 2: The shocks have already begun to roll in at the ongoing US Open here as ninth seed Andy Roddick was ousted by Serbia's 44th-ranked Janko Tipsarevic 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 (7/4) in the second round.

Roddick's exit came a shattering disappointment to America especially since his Grand Slam title at the 2003 US Open was the most recent Slam crown won by an American

Tipsarevic handed out his best with his brilliant serves.

"First serve was huge. Big first serve percentage helped me win," the Serb said.

Tipsarevic will next go head-on against French 17th seed Gael Monfils at the Flushing Meadows.

"If I play like I did today, I might have a chance to win," Tipsarevic said on his next battle after his second round victory.
