Apple unveils new generation Apple TV

Apple TV
San Francisco, Sep 2: It was a 'Super Wednesday' for the gadget lovers. World's most innovative electronics manufacturer, Apple Inc, launched different varieties of electronic gadgets, which will change the way we use different products.

On Wednesday, Sep 1, Apple launched the all new version of Apple TV, which allow the users to stream HD movies (720p) and TV shows that can be purchased from Apple's iTunes snd Netflix. It was an cheaper version, just $99, of Apple's Web-to-TV device.

Apple launched the original Apple TV in 2006 but never became a big hit. The new version was a 4-inch-square device and allows users to rent TV shows for 99 cents and first-run films for $4.99.

Apple claimed that new Apple TV features a powerful A4 chip, which will help to stream everything effortlessly without frozen screens or stutters and video will look crisp and clear. Users can enjoy just like watching a DVD and even fast-forward through opening credits, pause for a popcorn break or replay a hilarious scene until the user memorize every line.

The new Apple TV is 80 percent smaller than the previous generation even with a built-in power supply, which makes it perfect for sitting neatly on a widescreen TV stand or squeezing into a crowded media cabinet.

Users can connect the new Apple TV with widescreen TVs using an HDMI cable. Apple CEO Steve Jobs once referred to Apple TV as a hobby, but made clear that the company is now ready to seriously focus on marrying the Web to TV, a combination that is also in the sights of some of the world's most creative and deep-pocketed companies, including Google, Microsoft and Amazon.com Inc.
