Malaysia & Australia fear dengue at CWG 2010

New Delhi, Aug 31: As the national capital has seen a major dengue outbreak, countries like Malaysia and Australia have issued travel advisory against to Delhi for the Commonwealth Games(CWG).

Indian embassies reported that athletes' families are unwilling to travel to India for the CWG because of the situation.

According to CNN-IBN investigation in the hospital, there were 1014 cases at Holy Family Hospital, 421 in the Max and the Apollo Hospital has reported a total of 55 cases.

The AIIMS Hospital has reported 75 cases, 40 in the GTB Hospital and the Safdarjung Hospital found 53 cases. This brings to a total of 1658 much more than government figure with 863 cases.

Inspite of the cases, the health ministry tries its best to assure tourists that Delhi is a safe destination.
