Firm sues Apple, Google, Facebook over patent row

San Francisco, Aug 30: The firm of Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen has sued Apple, Google, Facebook and many others over technology patent violation.

Allen's firm Interval Licensing accused 9 other major corporations like AOL, eBay, Facebook, Netflix, Office Depot, OfficeMax, Staples, Yahoo and Google's YouTube over the same allegations.

The claims involve four separate patents, most of which cover integral parts of how the companies named do business.

However, companies like Google, Facebook and eBay said that they would fight back to the allegation charge.

On the other hand companies like Apple, AOL, Office Depot, Netflix and OfficeMax rejected to comment on the issue.

Allen co-founded Microsoft in 1975 with Bill Gates but resigned as an executive in 1983 as he overcame a first bout with cancer.

This drivel is what we call news in this day and age? There is absolutely no content in this so-called 'news broadcast'. And we (native English speakers) are wondering why our children can't hold a conversation or use English grammar correctly... Whoever wrote this really needs to go back to school, learn what overcame means and how it's used, and learn about basic sentence structure. For a better news broadcast example (with correctly used grammar) have a look at BBC newsround, it's aimed...
