'US exporter of terrorism', WikiLeaks new release

WikiLeaks
Washington, Aug 26: The whistle-blower website WikiLeaks released the secret internal Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) analysis report which defines US as an 'exporter of terrorism'.

The three-page CIA document, dated Feb 2, 2010, was released by WikiLeaks on Wednesday, Aug 25. The document pointed at a number of Americans have travelled overseas to commit violent acts, like David Headley, the Pakistani-American man who masterminded the Mumbai attacks in India in 2008 and Baruch Goldstein, the Jewish extremist who killed dozens of Palestinians in Hebron in 1994.

WikiLeaks released the documents in the tittle, 'What If Foreigners See the United States as an 'Exporter of Terrorism'?' and told that they are planning to release remaining 15,000 secret war documents soon.

"Contrary to common belief, the American export of terrorism or terrorists is not a recent phenomenon, nor has it been associated only with Islamic radicals or people of Middle Eastern, African or South Asian ethnic origin," reveals the report.

"While counterterrorism experts focus on threats to the homeland, al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups may be increasingly looking for Americans to operate overseas," added the report.

However, CIA downplayed the report by saying the reports were designed simply to provoke thought and present different points of view.

"These sorts of analytic products, clearly identified as coming from the Agency's 'Red Cell', are designed simply to provoke thought and present different points of view," said CIA spokeswoman Marie Harf.WikiLeaks released almost 92,000 secret US military records about the war in Afghanistan in Jul, 2010.
