6th AKKA Business Forum
Edison (New Jersey), Aug 25: The Business Forum of 6th World Kannada Conference of AKKA 2010, the biannual event that brings together professionals, researchers and corporate bosses, is set to be held on Sep 3 at the Royal Albert"s Palace here.

The 2010 edition of the event promises to present intensive interactive sessions in many disciplines of practical interest.

The focus will be on building and expanding a business, new opportunities in India as well as investment and retirement strategies, said AKKA, a non-profit organisation which aims at integrating Kannadigas and protecting Kannada, in a statement.

The notable objective of the event is the fact that the organisers aim at giving a perfect gateway for the exposure of American companies to the newly emerged and growing businesses in India and encourage entrepreneurship.

“With many enticing sessions, we as the hosts hope to encourage local businessmen to engage in joint ventures with Indian companies and to increase export of both technology and service resources. In recent years, India has experienced notable domestic growth, and this event will be a perfect gateway for the exposure of American companies to the newly emerged and growing businesses in India," said Ramesh Manjegowda, Chair of the Business Forum.

The statement added, Participants will get a chance to hear from leaders and senior officials of Indian southern state of Karnataka.

The discussions will be on latest trends in investment areas, along with sector and project profiles. Key features of entrepreneurship in the New World as well as taking advantage of India"s domestic growth will also be addressed and discussed at length.

Besides building on participants' business skills, the event also aims at bolstering the Indo-US ties as leaders of New Jersey and Karnataka are expected to discuss professional opportunities and macro trends at the Business Forum.

“We are looking forward to this year"s event, and look upon it as a great opportunity for both emerging and established entrepreneurs. With the US still in recession, all participants will be able to learn techniques from Karnataka to build a business with minimal resources," said Suresh Arya, Co-Chair of the Business Forum.
