Trucks carrying 600 tonnes of explosives missing

Bhopal, Aug 13: The explosives worth of 1.30 crore sent from a Rajasthan based factory in 61 trucks have gone missing on their way to Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh, police said on Friday, Aug 13.

Sagar IG Anvesh Manglam told that the explosives were about 600 tonnes sent from Rajasthan Explosives and Chemicals Limited in Dholpur to a trading company in Sagar district Ganesh Magazine.

Anvesh Manglam said there was a possibility that the explosives may have fallen into wrong hands.

 "The last consignment was to reach Sagar four days back but there was no trace of the vehicle or the missing explosives," he added.

“Four police teams had been sent to Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra to trace them, investigations is going on and efforts were being made to locate the missing trucks," said Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta.
