Mumbai, Aug 9: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has finally set to pull up its socks and is set to act towards the betterment of Mumbai as the party supremo has Raj Thackeray has now ordered his party men to take up the responsibility of cleaning the metropolis.

Thackeray's order came as Mumbai has been reeling under the outbreak and rapid spread of Malaria.

"Wherever you find garbage, clean it to control the diseases," he told MNS workers and activists asking them to help locals and civic officials in cleaning up the city.

Criticising the other politicians' Mumbai clean up drive in the backdrop of rising Malaria cases, the MNS chief said, "Many (political leaders) have published their photographs cleaning Mumbai but it was a publicity stunt."

He sang the same song of blaming the migrants, saying, "Slums and migrants are responsible for diseases. Slum areas where migrants live are unhygienic."

Observing that the private lands are free from slums but land belonging to the state government, centre and BMC are encroached, Raj Thackeray said, "Corporators and government officials are responsible for this and you should control it."

But the question now is, will MNS also help the Navy and the Coast Guard in the cleaning-up the Mumbai oil spill?
