Former NBA player Lorenzen Wright found dead

Memphis, Jul 29: Days after Lorenzen Wright was reported missing, the former NBA players has reportedly been found dead outside Memphis.

While the police are yet to confirm that the body found is that of Lorenzen, the player's uncle Curtis Wright told an international news agency that the police had already informed the player's father, Herb Wright, on Wednesday, Jul 28 afternoon that Lorenzen had died.

However, the police claims that the personnel are still trying to ascertain the identity of the body found beside a wooded area about 15 miles south of downtown Memphis.

Kith and kin of the player have already begun mourning his death.

On the behalf of the family of the player, a cousin of Lorenzen, Camella Logan, said, "Lorenzen's family has come together to mourn his loss and honor his legacy. We appreciate your thoughts, prayers and condolences as they are comforting at this very difficult time. Additionally, we ask that you please respect our privacy as we try to cope with his sudden loss."

Lorenzen was last seen on Jul 18 and the family filed a missing person's report on Jul 22.

The 34-year-old played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and most recently the Cleveland Cavaliers during his 13 years in the NBA.
