New Delhi, Jun 17: The Group of Ministers (GoM) constituted over the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy is expected to meet on Friday, Jun 18 to discuss all the issues relating to the case including the compensation offered to the victims of the world's worst industrial tragedy.

"The GoM will look at all issues, more specifically reaching out to those people who unfortunately have not got enough compensation, adequate compensation in last so many years," Information and broadcasting minister Ambika Soni told reporters.

The minister informed that the two hour long meeting will be headed by P Chidambaram and the GoM will be addressing "concerns on a priority basis".

The nine-member GoM was reconstituted on Jun 7 after the light sentence given to the convicts and the main accused and the then CEO of Union Carbide, Warren Anderson's escape from the law triggered off protests and angst among the public.

The panel includes Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily, Minister for Urban Development S Jaipal Reddy, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Kamal Nath, Congress' Selja Kumari, DMK's MK Azhagiri, Congress MP Prithviraj Chavan and Union Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh.
