Delhi traffic updates on Twitter and Facebook
New Delhi, May 18: For all the tech-crazy Indians, who have been sulking that the government and the authorities do not adopt to the changing times, here is some good news - the Delhi police has opened up accounts in Facebook and Twitter to provide traffic updates to the people through the medium of internet.

The traffic department of the Delhi police opened up the accounts on the popular social networking and microblogging sites in a bid to reach out to and connect with people.

"Traffic updates and advisories can be taken from our online accounts on Facebook and Twitter. This is an attempt to reach out to the people," a senior traffic official said.

The officials are also happy that this move has generated a lot of interest among the people and has seen encouraging response.

Now, the Delhi traffic police is planning on using star power. The police department is reportedly on trying to get celebrities to educate Delhiites on driving sense through print and radio before the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2010.

Delhi Traffic Police try to catch those bykers who always jumps red light in south district mainly R.K.Puram Sector-1 Red Light, Sangam Red Light, Sector-2 Red Light, so many times i have seen that traffic police men were busy with truckers and not giving proper attention to other vehicles such as auto, two wheelers, buses. they must give proper attention on it.

Delhi Traffic Police should also look two wheelers riders without having any helmet or driving license in north east district. so many young people below the age of 18 can be seen in north east district driving a byke in full speed.
