Washington, Apr 22: Asian giants India and China yet again proved why they deserve to be seen as emerging economies by grabbing more spots on the 'The Forbes Global 2000' list of most powerful companies in the world.
In the latest list of global giants released by Forbes, one of the most-reputed US business magazine, on Wednesday, Apr 21, China grabbed 113 spots, while India claimed 56.
US had 515 members and Japan had 210 members in the ranking that included 62 countries.
Reliance Industries, State Bank of India Group, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), ICICI Bank, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), NTPC, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, Steel Authority of India (SAIL) and Larsen & Toubro are the top ten among the 56 Indian members on the Global Power list.
