No one raised concern over Pak's nuke programme during Washington summit: Qureshi

Multan, Apr.18 (ANI): Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said none of the countries, including India, raised any concern over the country's nuclear programme during the just concluded nuclear security summit in Washington.

"Not a single country, including India expressed reservations about Pakistan's nuclear programme at the nuclear security summit in the US," Qureshi told media persons at the Multan Airport.

He said Pakistan, during the summit, had successfully assured the international community that its nuclear establishments were well guarded.

Qureshi parried questions regarding Washington's role in Indo-Pak talks, saying, "This could not be revealed to the media."

Describing his meeting with the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as 'productive', Qureshi said he discussed several issues with her, including Pakistan's energy crisis and issue of alleged terror suspect Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, who is currently languishing in a US jail.

"I fully understand apprehensions of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui's family," The Nation quoted Qureshi, as saying. (ANI)
