Wipro to exit vegetable oil, babycare biz: Report
Bangalore, Apr 7: Wipro Ltd has decided to take a bow and shutter its vegetable oil and babycare businesses as the company plans to concentrate more on the division's personal care segment, a news report said on Wednesday, Apr 7.

Quoting company sources, Business Standard reported that the company took the decision to exit its babycare and vanaspathi business about a week ago.

The vegetable oil and babycare forms the part of the Bangalore-based company's consumer care segment. The two businesses bring in less than three per cent of Wipro"s consumer care revenues as the major share of revenues here come from personal care products, followed by lighting and furniture.

Terming this a 'market speculation', the company spokesperson declined to comment, the report said.
