Sajjan's bail: SC not to interfere with HC order
New Delhi, Mar 29: The Supreme Court on Monday, Mar 29, ruled that it would not intervene with a Delhi High Court order that granted bail to Congress party leader Sajjan Kumar in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.

A bench headed by Justice P Sathasivam said, "We are not inclined to interfere with the Delhi High Court order."

The apex court noted that the background of the case is peculiar and considering all the circumstances, there is nothing wrong in grant of anticipatory bail.

The court dismissed the petitions filed by families of the riot victims.

Sajjan Kumar was granted bail by the Delhi High Court on Feb 26 in connection with two cases registered against him in the 1984 riots case.
