Modi likely to defy SIT summon on Mar 21
Ahmedabad, Mar 21: In what could be set back in post-Godhra riot case, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi may not appear before the special investigation team (SIT) probing the post-Godhra riots case, a source in the state government said on Saturday, Mar 20.

In a news agency report, SIT  chief R K Raghavan said that there has been no response from the Chief Minister's Office till Saturday, Mar 20, evening.

Modi was scheduled to appear for questioning before  SIT in connection with  the petition filed by Zakia Jaffrey, wife of the former Congress MP Ehsan Jaffrey, who was killed along with 69 others by a mob at Gulberg society in Feb 2002.

In her petition Zakia accused Modi and 62 others, including his cabinet colleagues, senior police officers, and senior bureaucrats of aiding and abetting the riots which left at least 1,000 people dead.

Modi has confirmed that he has not yet received SIT summons. Why did media such as Times of India, and Mid-day report falsely that summons were issued? What was the source of info? Congress spread the news and media accepted? Good media should always be prudent in checking their source of info before printing false reports, else they will lose credibility! In this case Modi can sue them for Libel!

Everyone is aware that Modi led the pogrom in Gujarat and so he is a mass murderer but he escapes the law of the land since he plays the Hindutva card and has the tacit support of Sangh Parivar . The UN Human Rights Commission should order a international probe and only then murderers like Modi will be booked . Shame on people of Gujarat to have elected him .

Did you know that a Muslim mob, urged by their leader burned alive about 100 Hindu pilgrims alive, that started the Gujarat riots? This Muslim mob and their leader have not been prosecuted yet. Hindus reacted to this unwarranted burning before police could stop riots. So far there is no proof against Modi. However there is proof of Congress burning 2,000 Sikhs alive after Indira's death, what are you doing about it?
