Baba Ramdev enters politics to 'cleanse' India
Lucknow, Mar 17: Spiritual guru Baba Ramdev has taken up the responsibility of creating a corruption-free India by floating his own party.

Announcing his entry into politics on Tuesday, Mar 17, Ramdev said his party would be called Bharat Swabhiman.

He, however, insisted that he will not contest in elections.

“I will never contest elections and never take up any political position," he stated.

“I will join politics to cleanse the system," he said adding that Bharat Swabhiman will field candidates in all the 543 Lok Sabha seats.

Envisioning that the party will have 7-10 lakh members in every district in a year or two, Ramdev said that next general elections will be a historical event as "all the corrupt politicians will be wiped out"."One of the main objectives of the movement is to end corruption and to bring back more than Rs 300 lakh crore of black money from abroad for the country"s development," said Ramdev.
