Pak wants Kasab's arrest;seeks trial in Pak court

New Delhi, Mar 14: In a significant turn of event, Pakistan has sought the arrest of Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist of the Mumbai terror attacks, inorder to make way for his trial in Pakistan Court, TV news report said.

It has been said that the prosecution's application to declare Kasab a fugitive and to adjourned the case for a week on Saturday, Mar 6 has been accepted by the Pakistani anti-terror court, where the trial of seven 26/11 suspects is being held.

However, it is not clear whether Pakistan is looking for Kasab's extradition by making this statement.

This move by Pakistan comes in sharp contrast to its earlier refusal to include Kasab's confession to the Mumbai police in a court of the country as evidence in the ongoing 26/11 trial in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is yet to act against the Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafeez Saeed, the mastermind behind the 26/11 attack, despite innumerable dossier handed against him by India.

Kasab should be hanged: Kavita Karkare

Pakistan has always maintained Kasab is not a Pakistani. So why do they want Kasab? To reward the highest Pak civil award?
