UP ATS nabs Indian Mujahideen terrorist
Lucknow, Mar 6: In a victory for India in its battle against terrorism, an Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist has landed in the net of the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad (ATS).

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Mar 6, Additional Director General (Law and Order) Brij Lal said, "'Salman alias Chhotu was nabbed March 5 (Friday) in Siddharthnagar district by a team of Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS)"

Siddharthnagar district is located about 300 km from Lucknow.

Salman was wanted in connection with several bomb blasts in the country.

"Chhotu was involved in a number of serial blasts, including those in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Delhi," Lal added.

He also informed that that the state ATS has found that Salman went to Pakistan for training at a terrorist camp.

The IM terrorist had procured a fake passport from Nepal and left to Pak in Dec 2009. After attending the training camp there, Salman returned to Nepal in Jan 2010, he stated.The IM, a home grown terror organisation, has claimed responsibility for various attacks. In fact, the recent Feb 13 Pune attack targeting the German Bakery is also believed to have been carried out by the outfit.

Cyber cafe owner held in Jaipur blasts probe

Lucknow, May 15: In a major breakthrough, the Uttar Pradesh Police has taken into custody a cyber cafe owner at Sahibabad in Ghazaibad district of the National Capital region (NCR) from where the e-mail claiming the responsibility for Tuesday's serial blasts in Jaipur was sent by the militant outfit Indian Mujahideen. The Ghaziabad Police confirmed the news of taking Madhukhar Mishra and his son into custody for interrogation. ''We are interrogating the duo to get all the information about the people.....
