Maha Chief Post Master General held
Mumbai, Feb 25: The Chief Post-Master General of Maharashtra and Goa, who took a hefty bribe of Rs 2 crore, landed in the net of the anti-corruption wing of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The CBI arrested Manjit Singh Bali on Thursday, Feb 25.

Bali allegedly took the bribe for transferring a piece of government land, meant for post offices, to private parties.

Kamrup (Assam), Dec 6: With a fresh outbreak of bird flu in poultry being detected in Assam, authorities are prepared to start the culling of thousands of chickens.Reports say the virus has spread to the districts of Barpeta and Nalbari from Hajo in Kamrup District, where it was first reported. corruption at top level of bureaucracy and politicians bolden the lower level officials also to follow the corrupt practice. it is very difficult to book them and once booked these top officials shd be given the maximum possible punishment, so that it will act as a deterrent for the fencesitters. if corruption is not removed from the system , this country has no hope

Different corruption related stories in this edition are but few. Corruption is our greatest enemy and should be fought tooth and nail. These cases maligne the name of India.
