BSF foils infiltration bid in Gujarat
Ahmedabad, Feb 23: In latest addition to the series of infiltration bid along the border, the Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday, Feb 23 foiled intrusion attempt near the Harami Nala in Kutch district of Gujarat, BSF officials said.

"The incident took place last evening when our team saw a fishing boat from the Pakistani side trying to enter Indian waters near Harami Nala on the West coast of Kutch," BSF IG AK Sinha told PTI.

Singh said that despite being warned, the boat continued to move towards Indian territory, which prompted the BSF patrol to fire.

"After short spell of firing rounds the boat made a retreat and went back," Sinha said.

He said that there were no casualties in the incident.

In the past Pakistani fishermen have tried similar intrusion attempt in the Harami Nala, which is spread over 500 sq km on the India-Pakistan border in Kutch.

On Jan 2010, BSF had foiled similar infiltration bid along the area.
