Sena MPs answer to CM's threat, return security

Sena MPs hit back at CM, return security
Mumbai, Feb 10: In protest of the Chief Minister Ashok Chavan's statement threatening to remove the security cover provided to Uddhav Thackeray, several Shiv Sena MPs have returned their security cover.

“We have already returned the security cover since this morning," party leader Sanjay Raut is quoted as saying in a news agency report.

Raut, who is also a member of the Rajya Sabha, informed about the letters written in this regard to Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari.

Raut termed Chavan's statement 'irresponsible' as Sena executive chief Uddhav Thackeray faced threat from 'terrorists and traitors'.

The Chief Minister's statement came amid the ongoing war launched by Shiv Sena against Shahrukh Khan's new movie 'My Name is Khan'.

He had threatened to withdraw the Z-plus security cover to Thackeray if Sena did not allow smooth screening of the film.

Sena started its protest against SRK's new film over the Bollywood actor's statement favouring the participation of Pakistan cricketers in Indian Premier League (IPL).
