Hackers attack Oz govt sites, protest censorship

Porn-loving hackers attack Oz govt sites
Canberra, Feb 10: A group of porn-loving hackers registered their protest against the proposed internet filter for pornography and offensive content by launching coornidated attacks targeting several Australian government websites.

The website of the Communications Department, which is pushing a compulsory Internet filter aimed at pornography and offensive content, along with the Australian Parliament website was paralyzed for an hour due to the cyber attack, said the attorney-general's Department.

The internet filter is being promised by the country's centre-left government ahead of elections scheduled to take place later in 2010.

"No government should have the right to refuse its citizens access to information solely because they perceive it to be 'unwanted'," the hackers said in an email.

The attackers have been identified as members of anti-Church of Scientology group called 'Anonymous'.

"The Australian government will learn that one does not mess with our porn," the e-mail added.

Laws to support the filter, which would block a list of banned websites, including child abuse material and pornography, is expected to be introduced in the parliament soon.

This is for freedom of speech on the internet not about porn. Try to research your content next time. To you xenophbia We do not support child porn, We do not support qestionable acts, We do not have sites of contraband, We do not take this mater lightly. What we do hope to acomplish is a flood of awakening in the hearts of AU's people. To censor some is to censor all. The issue we have with AU goverment is they are trying to create a internet black list. That black list is not voted on by or shown to its people. We do this for great justice and nothing else. If you think we do this for porn you are sadly mistaken. We are Anonymouse. We do not forgive. We do not forget. WE have no face, no leader, no home. We do not expect you to grasp what this is about, but we will protect your freedom. We are a legion.
