Passengers stranded as metro doors jam
New Delhi, Feb 9: Panic struck the passengers of Bombardier train as the door of the brand new train jammed at Kirti Nagar station.

According to officials of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, the doors refused to open despite their efforts. To their relief the doors opened up after five minutes and the passengers were de-boarded from the train.

They added that the train was sent to Kirti Nagar siding for inspection.

The incident resulted in nearly 6 trains on the Dwarka Sec-9 — Noida City Centre/Anand Vihar line being stranded for over 45 minutes.

In a similar incident on Friday, Feb 5, passengers were stranded at the Central Secretariat station when the doors of the train failed to open.

Passengers formed queues at the Rajiv Chowk and other inter-section stations, seeking refund of their tickets as the services were delayed.

Assam Company commences oil delivery from Amguri field

New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) Assam Company Ltd (ACL) has begun delivery of oil from its operated field in Amguri to Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) refinery in Guwahati, Assam, about 115 km away. The oil is being sold at the same price as a basket of crude oils with similar characteristics traded in the international market, a company release here said. The oil produced from Amguri is first trucked to Oil India Ltd (OIL) facility at Moran.....
