Thackeray asks details of Aussie players
Mumbai, Feb 8: Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar heaved a sigh of relief on Sunday, Feb 7 as he succeeded in winning the Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray's assurance of a tension-free IPL, if details of the Aussie players are provided to him .

Pawar, who visited Thackeray on Sunday, Feb 7 along with BCCI President Shashank Manohar had reportedly asked the Sena chief to withdraw its threats against the Australian players partcipation in IPL.

Amidst speculation of trying to warm to the Sena, Pawar, who is also the BCCI chief met Thackeray in the latter's 'Matoshree' residence.

Following which the BCCI president Shashank Manohar was quoted in a media report that the Sena chief had asked for the details of Australian players in IPL."We have tried to convince him that the entire Australian team is not coming. Mr Thackeray was considerate enough and he asked to us give us a detailed presentation. Thereafter he would consider our request," Manohar said in media reports

The BCCI will reportedly furnish the details in a couple of days.

Thackeray lashes at CPM for Nandigram crisis

Mumbai, Nov 16: Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray today lashed out at the CPM for unleashing a reign of terror in Nandigram and accused the Congress of being a mute spectator to ensure survival of its own coalition government at the Centre. Describing the Marxists as ''blood thirsty devils'', Mr Thackeray said he always held that the Marxists, who boast of morality and preach values to the world, were a blot on humanity. "Maharastra does not need other people to develop them." What about to develop Vidatbha Region.Formers are still committing suicide there. Isn't this a part of Maharastra?

I hear you Anoop - all Indians should learn to help ALL of their countrymen. Then & only then will truly prosper - listen to Rahul's message - I believe it is the right way forward. He is to unite and help including the farmers - not to divide and discriminate. The people in Vidarbha should be helped and tragedy stopped.

Rahul should not take marathi manoos for granted. Balasaheb is right in banning australian and pak players. Balasaheb does not need pawar. Pawar needs him. Balasaheb plz do not budge from your stand. Jai Shivaji Maharaj
