No explanation or apology from SRK to Shiv Sena

No explanation or apology from SRK
Mumbai, Feb 6: Under fire from Shiv Sena over seeking inclusion of Pakistan players in Indian Premier League (IPL), Shahrukh Khan opined that he neither owed an explanation or an apology to the political party.

The Bollywood superstar, who was busy on a worldwide promotion campaign for his new film 'My Name is Khan', landed in Mumbai on Saturday, Feb 6.

Saying that his statements were misinterpreted, SRK concluded that he had given all the explanations expected from him.

“I think what I said has been misconstrued. I am pro good relationship with countries. I am not pro some other country and not my own country. How is it possible?" he said.

While both Bal Thackeray and his son Uddhav are expecting to hear an apology from the actor, Shahrukh Khan ruled out the possibility of him going to Matoshree, residence of Sena supremo, to apologise.

“I have been there so often. Yes, I would like to go and have drink with him. But on this matter, I don"t see....there is no reason for going and asking....but if my stand needs to be explained to someone, I have already done it. I don"t think there is an issue on that front," Mr Khan said.

And when asked about the 'Mumbai for all Indians' remark, SRK said, “I only said what every Indian should say. It is in the constitution. I don"t want to use big words. If I say anything it will be misconstrued and turned around. I am what I am because of Mumbai."

Clarifying on why his IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) did not bid for Pakistani players, he said, “There was only one slot available and nobody told us to take or not take Pakistani players. We also have to take into consideration the prevailing atmosphere."

You've got it all wrong, Muslims already love shahrukh and the muslim audience he's aiming at really won't change because of this. Has anyone seen bachans song on GEO? Shahrukh didn't do anything wrong, he's jus promoting good relations between two countries that have gone through enoug. We should all follow their examples.
