Indian national anthem 'disrespected' at SAG

Indian national anthem 'disrespected' at SAG
Dhaka, Jan 31: The Indian national anthem was allegedly 'disrespected' at the 11th South Asian Games (SAG) on Saturday, Jan 30.

Indian players were left surprised after the national anthem was played abruptly during the brief ceremony at the badminton court here.

According to an official present at the ceremony, "Flags of the six participating countries in badminton were raised together this was in complete breach of protocol."

"As per convention, a country's flag is raised and national anthem follows. After the flag raising ceremony, national anthems of all the countries were played one after another," the official said.

The official further said, "It started abruptly and at first, I could not make out whether it was our national anthem. It ended in seconds and only then I realised it was India's national anthem."

"We will speak to the concerned person and check the CD containing the India national anthem. We will get it corrected to avert further embarrassment during a medal distribution ceremony," said an Indian official.

The hon'ble judges of the apex court have not done justice. All states mentioned in the national anthem are breaking up, one way or the other. Article 370 which was long a howler of the opposition parties, is now applicably to half of India. You cant live where you want, you cant work where you want to, is this what the constitution makers had envisaged. No. Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarkhand, N.E states etc etc wont let you buy land there, Maharasthra wont permit you to work there. What is happening to the India we the citizens envisaged. Do we have a voice of what we want or we to live by the diktats of afew corrupt and insensitive politicians. What has happened to our Freedom of expression, freedom to live anywhere in the country, freedom to engage in any legit work anywhere in India
