Soon, a fat tax for obese at UK crematoriums

London, Jan 27 (ANI): In the UK, family members could be asked to pay 40 pounds extra if their cremated loved ones are overweight.

Larger bodies are currently taken to crematoria in London or Sittingbourne.

But now people coming to Kent and Sussex Crematorium might have to give 40 pounds extra for larger coffins, reports the Daily Star.

"It is felt reasonable that if the authority incurs additional costs in order to facilitate larger coffins, that a charge of 40 pounds is made," said a report by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.

Standard coffins range from 16 to 20 inches in depth, but larger ones are now being ordered for big bodies. (ANI)

Washington, April 3: A new study by researchers at the Eastman Dental Center, part of the University of Rochester Medical Center, has found that overweight kids have fewer cavities and healthier teeth as compared to normal weight children. The findings are based on a secondary analysis of nearly 18,000 kids who participated in two separate National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES III and NHANES 99-02). The researchers found no differences in rates of caries (tooth decay) among kids ages 2-5.....

Researchers from the US conducted a study and found that the more dissatisfied a person is with his or her weight, the more unhealthy he or she becomes.
