
Lucknow, Jan 22: In a shocking incident, a husband is believed to have torched his wife and four daughters to death in a Uttar Pradesh village.
The charred bodies of a Dalit woman and her four daughters, all below the age of eight, were found early on Friday, Jan 22 morning in Behanganpurwa village.
Dhaurehra police station in-charge Yogendra Singh informed that the women were set on fire after pouring kerosene on them.
The youngest victim was a 23-day-old infant.
The police suspect the role of the woman's husband, Ramanand behind the incident. The suspect has been taken into custody.
Ramanand has a history too.
The man had reportedly climbed a tower and threatened to commit suicide if he was not allowed to meet Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati.
