Centre giving priority to inclusive growth: Manmohan Singh

New Delhi, Jan 22 (ANI): Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on Friday said the Government is giving the highest priority to inclusive growth and is committed to ensure that workers in the organized as well as the unorganized sectors are partners in the country's progress.

Dr Singh was talking to an Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) delegation led by Dr G Sanjeeva Reddy.

The INTUC delegation included M Raghavalah, G Kalan, SQ Zama and R Chandrasekharan.

Finanace Minister Pranab Mukherjee and and Labour and Employment Minister Mallikarjun Kharge were also present at the meeting.

INTUC leaders urged the Prime Minister of the need for workers to get their fair share.

The INTUC delegation handed over a memorandum to Dr Singh, who directed the Ministry of Labour and Employment to constitute a group, including representatives of the Ministries of Finance and Industry to examine issues raised in the memorandum and give recommendations on ways to address them.
