Delhi: Worst fog in 7 years; flights hit
New Delhi, Jan 21: Thick fog continue to disrupt flight operations at the IGI airport on Thursday, Jan 21.

Around 80 domestic and international flights were delayed causing inconvenience to score of travellers.

An airport official, "Since last night 27 domestic and international flights were diverted, 18 were cancelled and around 20 have been rescheduled."

Some of the morning flights were delayed by over two to three hours while a few operated using the CAT-III B instrument landing system.

The runway visibility remained around 150 metres throughout the night due to which international flights, which were scheduled to depart last night and early this morning, were worst hit.

According to Met department, "This Jan is witnessing the worst fog of the past seven years."

The Met department said the last time the Delhi airport had seen such a long spell of fog was in Jan 2003.

New Delhi, Dec 12: For the first time since the onset of winter, 30 flights were delayed in the capital due to fog early today.''The fog led to a drop in visibility levels at around 0700 Hours, leading to slight delays in nearly 30 flights,'' a spokesperson of the Airport Authority of India said.''At around 0700 hours, the visibility levels dropped to below 500 RVR (the unit used to measure visibility). As a result 30 flights were delayed......

I am surprised and shocked that an Indian website "oneindia" is posting Indian national map without entire state of Jammu and Kashmir. The person responsible for this should be ashamed of himself and punished.
