New Delhi, Jan 19: IT major, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said that salaries for freshers are likely to remain same to those offered in 2009-10, a financial daily report said on Tuesday, Jan 19.
According to Financial Express report, TCS, much like Infosys Technologies, has said it wouldn't hike pay packets of junior recruits.
"Salaries for freshers joining the company in 2010-11 would be similar to last year's levels," Ajoy Mukherjee, global head of human resources was quoted as saying.
Salaries for freshers are typically in the range of Rs 2.5 to 3 lakh per annum.
"Laterals would be given hike in pay packages depending on the niche areas of demand," Mukherjee said.
TCS has already made 5,500 campus offers and would continue to hire till Mar 2010.
"We cannot say if the firm would be in a position to give similar hikes in variable pay in the coming quarter or not. But we will consider giving pay hikes in the first quarter of the financial year 2011," he added.
