Bangalore, Jan 18: Posting a 'blauk' could soon become the new 'tweeting' as an entrepreneur in Los Angeles, California has taken the current craze into social networking and microblogging to a new level with blauk.com.
Blauk.com is a new microblogging site which lets random strangers communicate and get in touch with each other.
When a person wants to comment on someone"s looks or simply likes them and wants to know them better, they can post a blauk on blauk.com.
Posting on blauk.com, which carries a tag line 'I saw you there..and I thought', requires a short description of the person along with place and time where they were seen. This lets the reader identify as having been there at that time and by the description.
“Popular social networking sites such as facebook.com or orkut.com primarily focus only on helping people stay in touch with existing friends. Yet actual networking happens in our everyday life while we go out into the real world everyday where we see people we like. But we are afraid of rejection even to make friends," said founder of Blauk.com, Samson Manickaraj.
The Chennai born entrepreneur, who calls this the future of social networking, has also launched blauk.com in India
The easy-to-use site lets people make new friends and communicate with strangers on a virtual platform.
Blauk is an ingenious fusion of reality and the virtual world, the firm based in North Hollywood, California said in a statement.
